day 22 : the little things

day 22: I always love cool photos of things that you never stop to look at. We were walking by some trees today and I noticed how intricate the bark was so I decided to take some photos.

day 21 : game night!

day 21: Yesterday (when I shot this photo) was Ben's birthday. We played a little wii golf and at first everyone was up and using the remote like a real golf club. By the time 1 AM rolled around however, the wii playing looked more like this.

day 20 : construction wall

day 20: Mural along the construction fence around the site of the new wing of St. John's hospital... if only all construction fences were murals.

day 19 : last ditch effort

day 19: with many more hours of javascript homework looming in my future and midnight creeping up on me I figured I might as well take a photo of the nearest thing to me... the creepy chandelier over our dining room table.

day 18 : the rents are in town

day 18: My parents are staying up at our place for a couple of days so they're fair game for my non-stop photo taking. Here is my favorite from today.

day 17 : sleepy rita

Day 17: Dogs are known for being companion animals, but Rita takes it to a whole new level. Her absolute favorite place to be is sitting on top of one of us. Here she is in her favorite nap position.

day 16 : disneyland shoot-off

day 16: today Allison and I went head to head with dueling cameras at Disneyland. I like this one because she's got the camera aimed and ready to go, even though she's not looking through it.

day 15 : my first cake!

day 15: The day's not over yet and I may take a better picture later on, but I'm quite proud of my first finished cake so I just had to make that today's photo.

day 14 : strolling

day 14: I have discovered that the tricky part of the one a day challenge is not taking a photo a day, but DECIDING at the end of each day which one is best. There were a couple of other ones I loved from today but I guess I'll just have to find somewhere else to post them...

day 13 : vacant garage

day 13: Today was very very busy. I didn't get a chance to stop long enough pick up a camera until after my night school class. So a photo of a parking garage it is!

day 12 : classic cruiser

day 12: Today after work we were driving to Manhattan Beach and the sunset was shaping up to be a good one so I had my camera at the ready. When we pulled up to a deserted light alongside this car I knew I had my photo of the day!

day 11 : moody

day 11: Today was a cloudy drizzly day, which went well with my mood. To commemorate the moody day, here's a moody photo.

day 10 : out of time

day 10: I spent the entire evening working on the new layout for my illustration website so I didn't have time to go out looking for a great photo before it got dark. At least there's always indoor lighting and my trusty husband as a subject!

day 9 : my first portraits

day 8 : somethin' tasty

day 8: ok, I didn't post this on Saturday. But I did take it Saturday and that's what really counts. Taken during my cake class. Mmmmm cherry filling.

day 7 : pinkberry obsession

day 7: Well I've officially completed week 1 of the photo-a-day challenge. Ending the week with my absolute favorite treat (and current obsession) pinkberry. mmmmm.

day 6 : things that aren't lame

day 6: a little practice on photographing objects (and not having them look lame). I love our fabulous knives.

day 5 : ben hates portraits

day 5: Stopping for a quick photo on an evening walk. I think he would prefer I find a new portrait subject. Any volunteers?
