day 235: On Tuesday we had the good fortune to have an incredibly knowledgeable tour guide of all of the d-day beaches and important locations in Normandy. It was such an intense day and we learned and saw so many important places (that of course I have photos of), but I have to post this photo... along with a little explanation. One of our last stops were bunkers at Omaha beach. We were there right as the sun was beginning to set (photography's "magic hour") and everything was perfectly aligned (gorgeous clouds, warm light, awesome breeze) to make amazing glowing photos. I went completely camera crazy and must have shot about a hundred photos just in that 15 minutes. I can't resist the magic light.
To be perfectly honest, I didn't come up with this idea. I read it on a fantastic website called photojojo. Although I guess that doesn't really answer the whole question.
I've always loved photos, loved taking photos, and loved looking at them as well. I always take photos on vacation but I haven't always taken as many "daily life" photos as I would like. My hope is that in the process of taking 365 consecutive photos I'll learn something new about photography, my camera, and myself.
It's a big endeavor so wish me luck, and feel free to leave me a comment if you love (or hate) any particular photo. I'm always up for a little feedback.
Enjoy!
