you have probably noticed that my photo-rific posting has been conspicuously absent. Sorry. I've been a bad blogger. I hope to get better soon. BUT in very very exciting news (so exciting I had to snag her photo) you should check out Allison's blog because... she's getting married!! Yahoo!! Hopefully photo-rific will return soon. I'm oh so behind :)
Day 1: As I'm sure you've noticed I'm a bit behind on blogging :) I'm leaving tomorrow for a trip to Vegas for a big photography convention and I've been in a bit of a frenzy trying to get everything ready to leave town for a whole week. It's been quite tough. I have been taking photos and will catch up when I get back. Promise. In the meantime here's one from Sunday (aka photo-rific year 2 day 1) at a group bridal shoot in Palm Springs.
Day 365!! I can't believe that I started this little blog a whole year ago! It has been quite a year indeed, and it's so fun for me to go back through all of the posts and see everything I've done and where I've been. The most exciting part is that I finally get to have all of these posts packaged up into a neat little book so I can actually hold it in my hand and flip through it, which should be fabulous! And... in case you were wondering... yes, photo-rific will continue. It's photo-rific year 2 starting tomorrow and I can't wait to see what the new photo year brings!
Day 364: Life has been pretty hectic lately so I was SO excited to find out that I had an entire weekend free this week and that I'd be able to spend it relaxing with the family in Palm Springs. We drove up last night and have been doing nothing ever since. It's quite delightful!
Day 363: What could possibly taste better than a crumpler backpack? Why nothing of course... which is why Herbie decided to take a bit of a nibble of my camera bag's straps while we were out of the house. Nothing beats having a puppy around :)
Day 362: Last night a bunch of lovely photo ladies and myself went out to dinner before heading to a photographers networking party. Crissy was nice enough to bring us all cupcakes to eat... mmm.... cupcakes :)
Day 360: I'm SO close to the end of my first photo-rific year and yet I am so busy I find it impossible to get my posts up on time. Sorry!! Here's another Herbie shot... I know... way too many lately. Sorry again :)
Day 359: With the last photo assignment of the weekend over (an engagement session) it's time for me to hit the hay. It's been exhausting. And tomorrow I get to get up and start a whole new week. When do I get a break :)
Day 358: This weekend I had not one, not two, but THREE jobs in a row, a reception Friday, a wedding all day on Saturday with my friend Tracy, and an engagement session this afternoon. Here's one of my favorites from Saturday... the bride getting ready with her mother and grandmother.
Day 357: On Friday the photo crazed weekend began with a bit of help for my friend Crissy shooting with her at an evening reception. I wasn't around for the whole evening but I did get a couple of detail shots of the beautiful decor.
Day 356: Sorry again for the total slacking on posting... I really am taking photos promise :) The problem is I'm just SO busy! Thursday I took a few more photos for the office photo project...
To be perfectly honest, I didn't come up with this idea. I read it on a fantastic website called photojojo. Although I guess that doesn't really answer the whole question.
I've always loved photos, loved taking photos, and loved looking at them as well. I always take photos on vacation but I haven't always taken as many "daily life" photos as I would like. My hope is that in the process of taking 365 consecutive photos I'll learn something new about photography, my camera, and myself.
It's a big endeavor so wish me luck, and feel free to leave me a comment if you love (or hate) any particular photo. I'm always up for a little feedback.
Enjoy!
